Can you take a mattress in Massachusetts?
Yes. Since 2022 the state has banned mattresses and box springs from regular trash, so they have to go to a recycling facility. That is a trip we already make — you do not have to.
Do I have to move the couch outside first?
No. Tell us which room it is in and we carry it out. That is the whole point of calling us.
Will it fit through my door?
Almost always. When a piece truly will not fit, we take it apart in the room rather than force it through the frame.
What happens to furniture that is still good?
It goes to donation first, whenever a charity will take it. A couch with life left in it is worth more in somebody’s living room than in a transfer station, and you get a written summary of where each piece went — donated, recycled or disposed of.
Do you take mattresses from an apartment building?
Yes, including third-floor walk-ups with a turn in the staircase. Bring us to the bedroom door and we handle the rest — and if the piece will not come down whole, we take it apart on the landing instead of dragging it against your walls.
