We book a two-hour arrival window and text 15 minutes before we arrive, so nobody is left waiting at the door; if we are late, you get 10% off. We sort with you, load quietly and sweep the floor. Afterward you get a short written report of what was donated, recycled or thrown away, which helps when a relative is coordinating from out of town.

Each visit is priced by how much of the truck it fills, and the number is agreed before anything moves. One packed room is usually half a truck, from $279. A floor of the house is a full truck, from $450, and a whole house is priced the same way, one truckload at a time. Short visits spread over several weeks are a normal way to do this. Labor, loading and the dump fee are always included, there is no travel fee in the thirteen towns we serve, and you can pay by cash, check or bank transfer.
What we cannot take
A few things cannot go on our truck, however long they have been in the house: paint, chemicals and solvents, tires, propane tanks and anything containing asbestos. They have their own disposal rules and go to the town’s hazardous-waste collection instead. If we come across them while sorting, we set them to one side, tell whoever is coordinating, and keep clearing the rest of the room. Nothing about the pace or the price changes because of it.
