Junk removal in Salem, MA is mostly a carrying job. The houses are old, the streets are narrow, and plenty of staircases turn twice before they reach the front door. We are fifteen minutes away in Danvers. We park where we can and bring out the couch, the attic boxes or the rental’s leftovers ourselves, taking a piece apart first when a doorway calls for it. No curb, no 7am deadline, no call to the city a day ahead. Text a photo and the price comes back in minutes.

One item or a whole house. If you can point at it, we can take it.

Salem will collect bulk items, on your recycling day, if you call Waste Management at 800-972-4545 at least 24 hours ahead. As of August 2026 the city charges $20 per bulk item, and $40 per mattress or box spring, with mattresses scheduled separately through UTEC at 978-856-3997.
And everything still has to be at the curb by 7am, out of a house where the staircase turns twice. We come to the room, take it apart if we have to, and sweep up after.

Through the city, a mattress and its box spring are $40 each and other bulk items are $20 apiece, and you still do the carrying. With us, a mattress or a piece of furniture starts at $85 and an old fridge or washer at $70. A finished basement usually fills about half the truck, from $279, and a whole house is a full truck, from $450. The price covers labor, loading and the dump fee, and carrying it from where we can park, stairs included, never costs extra.
Houses that have been in a family for generations tend to hold a few things we cannot haul: paint, chemicals and solvents, tires, propane tanks and anything with asbestos. If you find them during an attic or basement cleanout, set them aside and we will clear everything around them. The same goes for a gas stove or dryer: you or your plumber shut off and cap the gas line first, and then we bring the appliance down those tight stairs.
Same crew, same day, same prices in every town.

Instead of a 7am curb time on the city’s schedule, you get a two-hour arrival window and a text 15 minutes before we pull up, and if we are late, 10% comes off the bill. In a house with narrow doorways and old railings, our property protection promise matters: if we mark a wall, a railing or a door frame, we repair it at our own cost. We finish broom clean and send a short report of what was donated, recycled or thrown away.
